Inspiring Inclusive Practice: Voices from the Classroom, School and System
Across Australia, educators are using Inspire to make planning, documenting and evidencing student support simpler, clearer and more connected.
From classroom teachers to system leaders, the impact of having one central, easy-to-use platform is being felt every day - helping schools strengthen inclusive education practices, meet compliance requirements, and most importantly, make a difference for students.
Empowering teachers in the classroom
“I started using Inspire during my time at OLSH Catholic College Alice Springs, and now at MacKillop Catholic College in Darwin. I love the new and improved version which is so much easier to navigate!
Being able to access IA’s, SAPI’s, EA’s and documentation makes it so much easier to facilitate differentiation within the classroom environment.
Being able to place notes on the progress of students, slide the bars to indicate success of strategies in place and the ability to comment on EAP’s directly ensures that students are able to access the best support necessary, whilst showing the ISC’s and support staff what helps each student and where they may need further supports or alterations to their current plans.
Notes created can be copied and pasted into school documentation if required and can easily show parent/teacher communication through screenshots in one easy upload.
I would certainly recommend Inspire to educators who truly want to assist their students in the way that they learn, to the best of their abilities.”
– Kelly Camarata, Teacher (Middle School English, RE and Humanities), MacKillop Catholic College
Building whole-school consistency
“Our school started using Inspire in 2022, when I commenced my role as Inclusion Support Coordinator. Myself, classroom teachers, Inclusion Support Assistants (ISAs) and other Leadership staff use Inspire daily and weekly.
This system is an important central location for us to record and monitor information about students with additional needs or a diagnosed disability. Inspire has been essential for our school to fulfil our ongoing legal obligations for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD).
We now follow a consistent process to create student Education Adjustment Plans (EAPs) by using Inspire. It allows us to input objective observation notes and use an online sliding tool to track EAP goals. Being able to upload student diagnosis reports, clinician reports, vision/hearing reports, etc. allows easy access to view and print student information as required (e.g. EAP meetings with families).
Inspire staff continually seek and action our feedback to improve features.
I highly recommend Inspire as a school-wide student support tracking system!”
– Kate Fogarty, Inclusion Support Coordinator
System-wide impact
“I’ve used Inspire for five years - first as a principal, and now in a system-level role supporting schools. It’s been invaluable in helping staff align their practices with the Disability Standards for Education, complete NCCD census requirements, and implement effective adjustments for students.
The platform is intuitive, guides staff through the process with confidence, and the support from SRA has been consistently responsive and collaborative.
I highly recommend it to any school looking to strengthen their inclusive education practices.”
