Inspire recognised at the 2019 iAwards for innovation in inclusive education

Back in 2019, Inspire – Learning with Diversity achieved national recognition for innovation at the NT & SA iAwards, Australia’s premier program for celebrating digital excellence. This award marked an important early milestone in Inspire’s journey to support schools with inclusive education and student diversity.

First introduced in 2019 in the Northern Territory, Inspire was developed as an integrated software platform to help schools:

  • Identify and support students with disability and diverse learning needs

  • Suggest evidence-based strategies tailored to student categories and levels of adjustment

  • Collect and organise the data required for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

  • Streamline reporting to secure funding and strengthen inclusive practice

In June 2019, Inspire was awarded the Merit Award in the Business Service Markets Category at the NT & SA iAwards. The announcement was made at the gala dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre, attended by government leaders, industry innovators and education stakeholders.

The iAwards, hosted annually by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), have a long history of recognising outstanding achievements in technology. Past winners have included well-known innovations such as Google Maps, Atlassian and WiseTech Global. Being named among this community of innovators positioned Inspire as a pioneering solution in the education technology space.

As Greg O’Mullane, Director of Catholic Education NT, reflected at the time:

“INSPIRE was making a real difference to the educational opportunities and lives of our students and their families.”

Recognition at the iAwards was a powerful validation of Inspire’s vision: to help educators simplify compliance, strengthen inclusive education, and maximise support for every learner.
